Naturalist At Large Environmental Cartoons by Don Rittner and Raoul Vezina. During the Reagan years, boyhood friends Rittner & Vezina published environmental themed cartoons in the daily Knickerbocker Newspaper in Albany NY. Many of them were reproduced and tacked to Congressional offices in DC that were attacking the polices of Reagan and James Watt and Anne Buford his appointees to the Dept of Interior and EPA. The collaboration ended at the sudden death of Vezina at age 35 from an Asthma attack. Rittner did a few more with a young artist named Mark Delfs. This is a collection that appeared in a book they published of their favorites and additional ones are attached from the newspaper. Many of them were about local environmental issues in the Capital District of NYS but majority here are national on topic and unfortunately still relevant today.
